RAMBAN, July 25: With an aim to usher peace, communal harmony, tranquility in the region and to provide a platform for the youth of the district to showcase their talent, a cultural and educational seminar popularly known as Ramban Youth Festival was organised, today under Delta Force.
The event which was inaugurated today will conclude on July 27. The festival was kicked off with immensely popular sports activity of Ramban Premier League T-20 Cricket tournament at Police Parade ground.
The programme also aims at bringing about an awareness on various educational, employment and developmental opportunities which can be exploited by the local youth.
The first day of the festival saw a mix of sports, culture and education activities. The sports activities included a football match, Tug of war and Kho-Kho competition which witnessed huge participation from students and locals.
A quiz competition for students of Government Higher Secondary School and Colleges was also conducted. Spreading awareness about conservation of environment, a Go Green drive was also organized wherein students planted hundreds of saplings in collaboration with forest officials of Ramban.
