Demographic invasion of Jammu part of big conspiracy: PK

JAMMU, May 13: Panun Kashmir (PK) organised a meeting of its reconstituted Delhi unit today at Pamposh Enclave, New Delhi. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, PK.
The members reviewed the organizational and socio-political situation prevailing over the last two months and adopted a resolution appreciating the forthright statement of the Army Chief, General Bipin Rawat in context of the menace of terrorism in the Valley of Kashmir. The action taken by the security forces in the Kashmir Valley to fight the evil of Islamic terrorism and radicalization needs full political, moral and social support, it added.
The meeting lauded the statement that terrorism would be dealt and fought to the finish and that the youth of Kashmir need to be made aware about the futility of day-dreaming about the absurdity of “Azadi”.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, P K in his address stated that his organization has always highlighted the truthful picture of the J&K State along with the situation of the minorities of the State. The Kathua happenings have very serious ramifications on the political and social scenario of the J&K State. The call for CBI enquiry into the carnage is a genuine demand of the people espoused by the Jammu Bar Association in a diligent manner, he added.
He said there is a larger conspiracy to defame the Jammu region and the Hindu community of the J&K State unleashed by the vested interests supported by the anti-national elements that have extra-territorial and extra-constitutional leanings, he added.
He further said that the issue pertaining to the demographic invasion of the Jammu region is a part of the greater conspiracy to imbalance the socio-political situation in the State and particularly the Jammu region.
Utpal Kaul, senior leader stressed upon the need of espousing the human rights and cultural aspects of the Kashmiri Pandit displacement issue. He made it clear that history of Kashmir will not be allowed to be interpreted in a casual manner and any attempt to deface the ancient legacy of Kashmir will be resisted with full might at command.
Dr. Nidhi Tikoo Mitra Chairperson DOPK while making her presentation said that the issue of women emancipation will be given a priority in the days to come.
Those who attended the meeting included Rajinder Kaul, Ramesh Bhan, Vishal Sharma, Ankur Raina, Deepak Arora, Rajkumar Goja, Upinder Dhar and Sunil Tikoo.
