SUCHETGARH, Feb 23: Chairman of AAP J&K for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs and Member DDC Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony today said that the J&K Government has put on hold the demolition drive due to pressure from big sharks of BJP as BJP leaders are also figuring in the list of big land grabbers.
“When the demolition drive was carried out against small fishes, it continued, but when the big sharks belonging to BJP were caught in the net then the drive was put on halt by the government,” Tony claimed questioning the double tactics adopted by the government to save the land of blue-eyed persons.
Terming the demolishing drive as undemocratic and anti-people move, he said that demolishing residential houses and commercial buildings of people in J&K without serving any notice is an undemocratic move to harass common masses.
Tony said that as the Revenue Department is identifying land grabbers from political class, who will identify such grabbers among revenue officials.
