Fighting terrorism is a continuous, ever evolving process with sole aim to be one step ahead of perpetrators of most heinous crime on humanity. For three decades writ of terrorists ran throughout Kashmir valley with hartal calendars, extortions, kidnappings, and what not. Fear psychosis was so much in the minds of people that almost zero resistance to their ever changing sermons. Beauty parlours, cinema halls closed, five lakh plus Kashmiri Pandits made to leave their homes forever and every resourceful family sent their kids out of Kashmir valley to live normal life without stress and fear. But post 5th August 2019 everything has changed forever. New strategies with iron will to deliver implemented, Kashmir is now as peaceful as rest of the country enjoying freedom of expression as well as independence. Terrorism is on ventilator and demolition of illegal house of the JeM active Commander is now last nail in the coffin of terrorism. Likes of Nengroo brothers have been running this terrorism business for decades without any fear or resistance, in fact sometimes with official support but those things are history now as this is ‘Naya Kashmir’. Gone are the days of terrorists’ rehabilitation, this demolition is a clear cut message, any effort to revive terrorism will be dealt with iron hand, any effort to mislead youth for recruitment to terrorists ranks will be countered by JCBs now, zero tolerance for terrorism, one antinational step and your existence on Kashmir soil will be history. This step is iconic as it took place in the open, amidst viewers: a public demolition, always to remember terrorism or their support or supporting any action against the interests of country will be taken seriously. Employees had been dismissed for such activities in the past and this is one more step forward to raise the cost of joining terrorists ranks. Writ of law is supreme, you cannot brush it and remain unaffected, terrorists have to pay the price ultimately.
