Dengue cases on rise in J&K, 75 tested positive

JAMMU, Sept 14: The number of cases of Dengue continued to rise in Jammu and Kashmir, with registration of 75 more positive cases.
As per the handout issued by the Health Department with 75 fresh cases reported today, the cumulative number of people affected with the viral infection has reached 1041.
“With 13 children and 62 adults tested positive for dengue today, highest 52 people from Jammu District, total 1041 people have been reported positive for the vector-borne disease thus far in the UT,” he said.
According to the details available, highest 743 people from Jammu District have been tested positive, followed by 102 patients from Samba District, 96 cases from Kathua District, 34 from Udhampur, 18 from Rajouri, 12 from Reasi, 10 from Poonch, 9 from Doda, 2 from Ramban, 1 from Kishtwar, 10 from Kashmir, and 4 from outside the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
