JAMMU, Oct 21: Post-Graduate Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu in collaboration with Rotary Club Jammu Tawi organized a Screening cum Restorative Dental Camp at Government Degree College (GDC) Sidhra.
The Camp was organized under the banner of International Federation of Endodontic Association as a part of World Endodontic Day celebrations, under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Azhar Malik, Head, Post-Graduate Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, IGGDC Jammu.
The staff and students of GDC Sidhra led by Dr B B Anand (Principal) were screened for oral conditions like Caries and Restorative treatment was done and medications were distributed to the needy people by the specialist faculty members.
The well attended dental camp was meticulously planned, arranged and organized by Dr Azhar Malik, Dr Shamim Anjum (Assistant Professor and Incharge Dental Specialty Camp), Dr Rudra Koul (Lecturer), Dr Sachin Chadgal (Lecturer), Dr Saksham (Registrar), Dr Rakhi (PG), Dr Neha and Dr Massarat (H/s).
The Day was observed with series of activities and events highlighting the importance of oral health under the guidance of Dr Azhar Malik. The off-campus activities were executed under overall guidance and direction of Principal and Dean of IGGDC Jammu Dr Rakesh Krishan Gupta.
The president of Rotary Club Jammu Tawi Ramnik Singh and secretary Balvinder Singh were also present on the occasion.
