Dental check-up camp organised

JAMMU, Oct 9: To mark oral health month-2016, Colgate India organized a two day dental check-up camp at Best Price store Jammu.
More than 300 visitors were examined during this camp and free samples of Colgate toothpastes, toothbrushes, pain out ointment were distributed.
Dr Gautam Sharma, president, Indian Dental Association (IDA) Jammu along with Dr Aamir Shamas Malik, Periodontist, conducted the oral health check-up, demonstrated the proper brushing technique and advised the parents to inculcate the oral hygiene habits in their children at an early age.
They also advised general public to avoid sweet sticky foods, candies, chocolates and soft drinks which are the main cause of cavities and periodontal problems.  Dr Gautam Sharma warned the participants against the hazardous effects of tobacco.
Sandeep Sharma, Manager HR, Best Price Jammu made the arrangements for the camp. Sumeet Gandotra, Oral Care Consultant Colgate India, was also present during this dental check-up camp.
Dr Gautam Sharma also informed that IDA is ready to organise dental camps free of cost in educational institutions, residential societies etc and for this president or secretary of IDA have to be contacted and details are available on website.
