JAMMU, Nov 2: The 3-day dental conference, organized by the Jammu chapter of Indian Dental Association (IDA), concluded here today.
On the concluding day, the scientific programmes were conducted by Dr Harpreet Singh, Dr Amulya Chadha, Dr Abhijeet Lele, Dr Amnish Singh, Dr Rachna Dhani and Dr Rajiv Verma.
The lecture of Dr Rajiv Verma on the subject ‘Life after BDS, Life after MDS, What after 10 years and 25 years of Dentistry’ evoked tremendous response of the participants.
Dr Rohit Punga, Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon and a well known speaker from Delhi, said this was his first visit to Jammu and he congratulated the organizing team for holding such a successful and mega event.
According to Dr Gautam Sharma, general secretary IDA, about 700 specialists and dental surgeons participated in the conference that provided great exposure to the new comers in the profession. Practical sessions were also held during the conference that proved useful to the dental fraternity, he added.
Earlier, the IDA had also conducted pre- conference courses, lectures, hands-on and workshop at Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Sehora and Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC), Jammu.
A cultural programme by students of IGGDC and IDS Sehora was presented in the evening.
