JAMMU, July 5:  Dental Surgeons Association Jammu Kashmir (DSA-JK) continued their dharna for the fifth consecutive day at Amphalla Chowk and at Anantnag, Kashmir simultaneously, today.
Dr Asif Iqbal Chowdhary, president condemned the fact that Government try to take credit for proposing and implementing the big schemes of Dental and Medical Health, but ignores the issues and demands of the intelligentsia  which is supposed to be given their due job opportunities to run these health and welfare schemes.
The president said that the piling up of the unemployment in dental sector in the State is only due to the negligence and failed in framing and executing the proper policy in relation to the dental health in the State.
Dr Chowdhary said that the hunger strike will not be called off till our demands are fulfilled, which are complete absorption of unemployment dental youth, recruitment of dental surgeons on every year basis and establish separate directorate for dental health in the State.
As the Government is giving deaf ears to our genuine demands and thus DSA-JK has unanimously decided to go for fast unto death till our demands are not fulfilled, the president said.
Today three unemployed dental surgeons namely Dr Ankit Mahajan, Dr Shivam Gupta and Dr Pawan Jasrotia sat fast unto death.
