Departure of the Native

Sir,
Owing to some technical error, the last  paragraph of my article
Deparature of the Native published in DE of 18th April  many of the readers were a bit confused and they called me. For clarification I give below the exact para that had got distorted owing to technical error. It runs as this:
“Pandits will seriously think of returning to Kashmir only when a commission of inquiry headed by two retired judges of the Supreme Court of India probes into the rise of armed insurgency and religious extremism in Kashmir in onwards of mide-1980s.
The roots of the Pandits are in Kashmir. They are determined to
reclaim their ancestral land where lie the ashes of their ancestors. No power on earth can stop them from returning to their homeland and settling down there in a way they like. No formula of rehabilitation will succeed unless it is acceptable to them. This is the verdict of international law and the UN Charter.
At the same time, Pandits know that like Kurds they have no friends. That is not going to stop them from opening their wings to fly to climes and continents. They will not depend on anybody’s munificence. The community maybe in dispersal right now but its Diaspora is born for the first time. Fortunately, they wield two powerful weapons, education and vision. These qualities will never fail them in rebuilding their lives in a way they like:”
Yours etc…..
Dr. K.N. Pandita
