Deportation of Rohingyas

Sir,
This has reference to the news item ‘India to deport 7 Rogingyas today’ DE Oct 4, 2018.
The deportation of seven Rohingyas to their native place by the Government of India is a step in right direction. Though a small step, it should pave way for deportation of all Rohingyas settled in many parts of India, particularly in the sensitive State of Jammu and Kashmir. The delay in deportation of these illegal immigrants have wider ramification on socio-economic-political aspects of India. These immigrants will, in case these are not deported at the earliest, become an election issue in future. Every political party will try to drive mileage out of them. It will then lead to division of society on communal lives. In addition to it, in Jammu division they have the potential to change demography of this border state which will not be in the interest of the nation.
The Government of India must expedite the process of their deportation as has been assured by the Home Ministry time and again.
It is a matter of national interest and should not be dismissed as of low significance.
