JAMMU, Oct 11: Department of Pediatrics, Government Medical College Jammu, in collaboration with IAP J&K State Branch, organized 37th IAP UG Quiz intracollegiate round , here today in the in SMGS Hospital auditorium.
Dr Ashutosh Gupta, Principal & Dean, Govt Medical College, Jammu was the chief guest for this event. While speaking on this occasion, he lauded the efforts of Department of Pediatrics for conducting such academic activities on routine basis and encouraged the students to participate in all such activities.
Dr Ghanshyam Saini, Professor and HoD, Department of Pediatrics, SMGS Hospital, GMC Jammu and president IAP State Branch Jammu, highlighted the importance of organizing such competitions to generate interest amongst undergraduate students regarding Pediatrics as a subject. He apprised that the Department is organizing this annual event for the consecutive 37th year.
Dr Ghanshyam Saini and Dr Sanjeev Kumar Digra , Professor Pediatrics, were the judges for this quiz. Dr Anuj Bhatti, Associate Professor Pediatrics was the quiz master and he along with Dr Mousin Mustafa Batt, Assistant Professor Pediatrics and Dr Ajay Choudhary, Consultant Pediatrician, conducted various rounds of this quiz. Dr Vidushi Bhat, Senior resident Pediatrics conducted the proceedings.
Akanksha Gupta and Aman Puneet were declared winner and Poonam Angral and Kartik Gupta runner-up of this competition. Other participants included Stuti Sharma, Krishita Gandotra, Akriti Chib and Vanshika Gupta.
Other eminent Doctors and faculty members present on this occasion were: Dr Dara Singh, Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital, Jammu; Professors of Department of Pediatrics: Dr Sunil Dutt Sharma, Dr Mohd Razaq; Dr Ravi Parihar, Associate Professor; Assistant Professors: Dr Anumodan Gupta, Dr Sanjana Sharma, Dr Pooja Bharti, Dr Rajnesh Kumar, Dr Pallavi Sharma, Dr Priyanka Sharma, Dr Rajinder Singh, Dr Raman Sharma and consultant Pediatrician Dr Subhash Chander.
