JAMMU, Nov 28: The Department of Tourism and Travel Management at Central University of Jammu hosted its alumni meet, `Reflections: 2024′, here today.
The event brought together alumni, faculty, and students for a day filled with meaningful connections, inspiration, and celebration. The grand reunion was graced by the presence of Prof Jaya Bhasin, Dean, School of Business Studies, and faculty members including Dr Ranjeet Raman, Head of the Department of Tourism and Travel Management, Dr Mahendra Singh, Dr Amit Gangotia, Dr Bharti Gupta, Rahul Thakur, and Biswabhusan Pradhan.
Reflections: 2024 offered alumni the chance to reconnect with old friends, relive cherished memories, and celebrate the legacy of the department. Nostalgic photo exhibits and memorabilia showcased the journey of the department, evoking pride and nostalgia among attendees.
Distinguished alumni delivered inspiring talks, sharing their professional journeys and achievements, while cultural performances and entertainment added vibrancy to the celebrations. The event also emphasized networking opportunities, enabling alumni to foster new connections and collaborations within the tourism and related industries. Alumni from diverse domains, including tourism, startups, social media influencers, and youth leadership, were recognized for their remarkable contributions, reflecting the department’s commitment to nurturing leaders and innovators.
To mark the occasion, MBA (Tourism and Travel Management) first-semester students received orientation kits, symbolizing the department’s dedication to equipping its students with essential tools for their academic and professional journeys.
Speaking at the event, Dr Ranjeet Raman highlighted the significance of such events in strengthening bonds within the alumni network.
