Deputation of citizens submits memo to Dr Jitendra

JAMMU, Dec 25: A deputation of prominent citizens and social workers headed by JL Baru met Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State in PMO with independent charge of North Eastern States today and submitted a memorandum containing the issues relating to development of Devasthan Purmandal.
The issues related to inclusion of Devsthan Purmandal in the DPR recently submitted to Union Environment Ministry regarding river Devika rejuvenation/cleaning project of Udhampur, was discussed in the meeting, as the river known as Gupt Ganga (Devika) manifested in Purmandal area in a visible form.
The issue viz making Purmandal an independent religious tourist destination which formed part of Common Minimum Programme of present day BJP/PDP Coalition Government was requested to be translated into reality, besides bringing the old damaged heritage building structures into original form which could create an ample scope for making Purmandal a world known religious/heritage tourism destination.
Dr Jitendra Singh gave a patient listening to the deputation and assured the inclusion of river Devika flowing down in Purmandal area in the DPR relating to rejuvenation/cleaning project of river Devika in Udhampur.
