JAMMU, Apr 9: A deputation of residents of Panchayat Tun (Gandhari), Paddar, led by BJP leader Khem Raj met Minister of State, R&B and Revenue, Sunil Sharma and highlighted the problems being faced by the people of the area.
The deputation apprised the Minister that schools in Panchayat Tun are totally defunct due to lack of staff while some teachers who are posted in the schools, have not attended their duty for last more than eight months. “As a result, people have no option but to engage their wards in agriculture and labour works”, the deputation added.
The deputation demanded the Minister to ensure improvement of education system in the area besides a Tourist Hut, Micro Project on Sansari Nallha and construction of motorable road in the Panchayat.
The Minister assured the deputation that their grievances will be redressed on priority basis.
