JAMMU, Sept 22: A deputation of Roop Nagar Welfare Association, JDA Housing Colony, Roop Nagar here today met Executive Engineer, PWD Division-II.
The deputation was led by Uttam Deep Sharma, Association chairman and it comprised of B.K Sharma and others.
The demand of repair of roads in the Colony was raised by the deputation so that the public may heave a sigh of relief.
After listening to the deputation, the Executive Engineer assured that work on two main roads of the Colony-Aap Shambhu Road and the road adjoining Fire Station shall be taken up at the earliest for blacktopping.
He further assured that the remaining roads having width above 20 feet shall be taken up later on.
The Executive Engineer also issued immediate instructions to the concerned officials for immediate initiation of the work on spot in consultation with the Association and to complete the same within due time.
