Deputation of Kashmiri Migrants Organisations calls on RC

JAMMU, Feb 19: A deputation of various Kashmiri Migrants Organisations led by MK Yogi, president J&K National Conference Minority Cell today called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Migrants and presented a memorandum regarding simplification of Ration Cards in a simple and time bound manner.
The deputation said that the harassment by the relief organization in verification process is unacceptable and the deserving and needy should not be treated indifferently.
Single sole widow bifurcation issue was also discussed in the meeting and the concerned authorities assured the delegation that this genuine issue will be addressed shortly.
The deputation stressed that only a certificate of a Gazetted Officer or an Affidavit signed by a magistrate should be accepted.
Mr Yogi said that there should not be any hindrance in issuing RBA Certificates, adding that issuance of Permanent Resident Certificate (State Subject) should be simplified an earliest.
The deputation also demanded that PM Package Employees should be allowed to stay at Jammu to celebrate Shiv Ratri by extending their holidays till March 10, 2016.
The Relief Commissioner assured the delegation of redressal of their demands.
Prominent among others who accompanied the delegation were HN Jattu, Bal Krishan Bhat, Amit Koul, Chuni Lal Kandi, T K Koul, MN Pandita, Chuni Lal Bhat and Rakesh Koul.
