Deputation of KKH Maha Sabha calls on Relief Commissioner

JAMMU, Feb 11: A deputation of Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha led by its Chairman/President Er Romesh Chander Mahajan called on Relief Commissioner (Migrants) and projected the problems being faced by the displaced community and demanded their early redressal.
The demands included the installation of EPIC Card Printing Machine at Migrant Election Office and at All Zonal Relief Camp Office in Jammu, Deldi and other places; restoration of properties by declaring distress sale null and void; release of exgratia and compensation for the losses of migrants’ properties since 1990; immediate sanctioning of low soft loans under Skill Development Programmes and Training Schemes; proper protection and accommodation to migrant employees in Kashmir Valley and separate residential accommodation for congested large families living in one room tenements.
The Relief Commissioner after giving a patient hearing assured the deputation that their issues will be redressed at an earliest.
