JAMMU, Sept 24: A deputation led by Sarpanches and Panches of different Panchayats of Akhnoor and Chhamb constituencies met Farooq Khan, Advisor to Governor and demanded clearance of pending liabilities of MGNREGA, SBM and PMAY in Akhnoor and Chhamb constituencies.
Rajiv Sharma, Ex-MLA Akhnoor, Arvind Gupta State BJP secretary & Parbhai Akhnoor, district, president, Manmohan Singh also joined with the MGNREGA Union for resolving the matter of pending liabilities.
Deputation in their written memorandum had informed the Advisor that different development works were taken up under MGNREGA by Rural Development Department in their Panchayats in the year 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 but several of their material as well as labour liabilities and assistance under SBM and PMAY are still pending.
Advisor listened their grievance and assured that issue will be taken up on priority.
Others in the deputation were Sarpanches Manga Ram, Bablu Kumar, Kishori Lal, Kashmir Singh, Ganesh Dass, Geeta Devi, Anuradha, Taro Devi, Anita Devi, Pathan Singh, Mandal Pardhan Vikram Singh, Cap (retd) Sobha Ram, Rohit Sharma etc.
