JAMMU, Dec 10: A deputation of J&K Private Schools Association here today met Deputy CM, Surinder Chowdhary and discussed the delay in fixation and regulation of fee of private schools by the FFRC.
The deputation included Deepak Handa, senior vice president of the Association and Gaurav Charak, publicity secretary and they said that the Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee (FFRC) has failed to dispose off more than 433 cases of private schools since March 26, 2024, which had applied for review, enhancement, regulation or fixation of fees.
It was also highlighted that private schools had deposited processing fee @3000, 6000 and 10,000 respectively in J&K Bank favouring Chairman FFRC for regulation and fixation of fee.
“Why approving of the fee has not been done even after collecting processing fee in lakhs,” the deputation members asked urging the Deputy Chief Minister to intervene.
