JAMMU: Several deputations today called on the Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli at Androla, Kalakote and apprised him of their problems and grievances.
The delegations raised issues regarding electricity supply, repair of damaged transformers, repair of damaged roads and fresh water supply. They also raised issues regarding construction of culverts, playgrounds under MGNREGA, rural sanitation, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan and various other centrally sponsored schemes.
A delegation of Bakerwal community apprised the Minister about their problems during their transit to Kashmir valley with the onset of spring season. They requested for establishment of mobile veterinary hospitals and special arrangements for vaccination and first aid for animals.
Minister gave patient hearing to the delegations and assured them of appropriate action at priority.
Kohli directed the officers to regularly interact with people and consider their demands while formulating developmental plans.
The Minister said the government is responsive to the public demands and necessary measures are already afoot to upgrade basic amenities to ensure prompt public service delivery.
