JAMMU, Oct 9: Issuing warning to Aquaf Islamia, Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) today asked the administration to desist from constructing any parking place at grave yard land in Gujjar Nagar.
“We are unable to understand, the Aquaf Islamia which has been tasked to save the land from illegal occupation of encroachers and retrieve the encroached land from mafia, has itself became part of conspiracy to grab the prime land of grave yard in Gujjar Nagar,” said JMF, president, Imran Qazi.
Led by JMF leaders, over two hundred people assembled at the grave yard area when a team of Aquaf Islamia came there under the leadership of Administrator Aquaf.
“The savior of Muslim land in Jammu has allegedly become an encroacher. Converting grave yard land for commercial purpose is against ‘Sharia law’ and we will never allow any construction or parking place in grave yard land,” JMF leaders said.
They warned such elements in administration and Aquaf Islamia to avoid fueling situation under a well hatched conspiracy.
” We will not allow any such move. The people will come on roads against any attempt of creating parking area in the grave yard land,” said general secretary, JMF, Shuja Zaffar.
“We had expected some constrictive steps like Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has taken up for their community and utilized donations for the welfare of the community. Today’s attempt is shocking and uncalled for,” said Mr Zaffer.
Amjad Malik, Haneef Choudhary, Rashid Ahmed, Adv Anayat Ullah Choudhary, Advocate Ashiq Illahi, Habib Sheikh, Mansoor Malik, Imran Khan, Mohammed Sharif and Rehmat Ali Malik and others also protested against the Aquaf Islamia.
They demanded a high level probe into the move of Aquaf Islamia of converting grave yard land in Gujjar Nagar into commercial place like parking area.
