KPHS holds function at Dwarka

NEW DELHI, Apr 10: The Kashmiri Pandit Hitkari Sanstha (KPHS), organised a grand cultural event at Dwarka, New Delhi.
Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Member of Parliament, West Delhi graced the event as chief guest. She inaugurated the first issue of the KPHS magazine “Harmukh” and released the book “The Tantric and Philosophical Aspects of Kashmir Shaivism” authored by the esteemed scholar Shri Moti Lal Panditji. In her address, she congratulated the community and praised the efforts of the community in protecting their culture despite facing a lot of hardships.
The function was graced by senior community members Rani Kaul, Ratni Pandita, Savitri Kaw, and Usha Kaul. Besides it was attended Sushma Bhat, Sunita Bhan, Vijanti Lalla, and Sheetal Bhat, marking an auspicious start to the function.
Surinder Tickoo, president KPHS welcomed attendees, urging unity and collective responsibility to preserve and promote the community’s ancient heritage. He introduced KPHS Executive team Sunita Bhan as vice president, Vijay Kumar Kaul, general secretary, Avtar Nehru and Sushma Bhat, joint secretary, Sunny Tickoo, treasurer, Triloki Kaul, community activist and joint treasurer.
He also introduced EMs Manohar Pandita, Sunil Raina, Vinod Fotedar and Sunil Kaul.
General secretary Vijay Kumar Kaul delivered a lecture reflecting the pain of exile, genocide, and cultural cleansing of Kashmiri Hindus – a tragic chapter in Indian history. He emphasized the need to keep the cultural flame alive with a vision of return to the homeland and reaffirmed the community’s dedication to Sanatan Dharma. He said our genocide and ethnic cleansing in Kashmir is a dark chapter of Indian History. He informed the community Magazine “Harmukh” launched by M.P Kamaljeet Sehrawat will keep you updated about the latest developments/activities and events of the community in Dwarka.
He said Harmukh, named after the sacred Himalayan peak, aims to document community developments, promote internal cohesion, and nurture budding writers and editor Sunil Raina Rajankaji.
Prominent attendees included Dr. Roop Krishan Bhat, Editor of Vakh Magazine, and Deep Chand Sharma, a noted scholar. Community activist Triloki Kaul emphasized the importance of unity and mutual support among members. He stressed the spiritual power of celebrating festivals together to strengthen bonds.

All past Executive Committee and founder members were honoured for their service. Moti Lal Pandit, author of over 25 works on Shaivism, received special recognition for his literary and spiritual contributions. Sunita Bhan, vice president, extended vote of thanks.
