POONCH, Apr 3: Despite shelling along LoC in Poonch sector from the other side, 100 passengers crossed sides at Chakkan-da-Bagh LoC point in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that 50 new guests arrived here from PoK side in the Rawalakote-Poonch bus at Chakkan-da-Bagh. Three J&K residents also returned in the same bus after staying with their relatives on that side of the LoC.
A total 47 passengers crossed over to PoK from this side today. They included 46 PoK residents and only one Indian (J&K resident). Due to non-clearance of pending files of the Indians by the Pakistani authorities, they are unable to undertake the visit to PoK for meeting their relatives.
There is a strong resentment among the residents of J&K against the Indian authorities at Delhi for not taking up their cases with their Pakistani counterparts forcefully for expediting their travel permit process and early clearance of the pending cases.
