It is an admitted and established fact that good governance is a prelude to good Government. Keeping this fact, in view, the State Chief Minister, Mehboobaji, has taken a new and appreciable bold step as to how the administration may be brought down to the people for settlement of their problems, execution of works in time, work in all fields, for example education, agriculture, medical department, industries, employment, floriculture, tourism and all other concerns need to be taken on priority basis and the results expected within a short time frame. Besides, the execution of Centrally sponsored schemes, the funds allotted to various fields are sincerely spent to the entire satisfaction of the common people. All this can be possible only if officers at the district level take appropriate and personal interest. That is why, the CM has convened a meeting of all the district heads in general and that of the DCs and SPs in particular. She has assigned this task to DCs and SPs to implement all the schemes and arrange for security and maintenance of peace at district level. I am fully convinced that the assignment of duty on district heads will go a long way in making the district heads accountable before the superior authorities of the State. The district heads will get a chance to go through the grass root problems and will in turn hold their subordinate staff accountable. If the district level works are executed properly, the State will become prosperous in all respects.
