SRINAGAR, Mar 23: Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP and Kashmiri Pandit leader and in-charge Department of Political Affairs and Feedback, J&K-BJP, who is currently on a weeklong tour of Kashmir valley visited various places today.
Besides, visiting the migrant colony at Sheikhpora, Budgam, Chrungoo also visited religious places of Mata Kheer Bhawani, Tulmulla as well as Devibal and Raghunath Temple, Baramulla.
While addressing the inmates at various places, he said that the issues and concerns of the PM package employees were important particularly in respect of the conditions of the quarters, accommodation facilities, time bound promotions of the employees specially, the JEs working in the R&B Department. There can’t be different yardsticks for different people so far as the promotional avenues are concerned, he added.
Addressing the party activists, he referred to the current socio-political situation and said, “there is no alternative to development politics leading to peace and progress. The bubble of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) has outlived both, its age and relevance for the constituents who created it last year. It was an experiment of ‘conveniences’ and couldn’t be expected to be a long term alternative to the conventional politics of the J&K State and especially the Kashmir valley.
The socio-political scenario post the developments of August 2019 has brought a sea change in the overall situation.
The continuous exodus from the premier regional parties, the NC and PDP, is an indication of the future of politics in the Valley. It was this fear that caused creation of the bubble of Gupkar Circus. The PDP is literally turned into ‘Peoples Departure Party’ while the leaders of NC have expressed their doubts about continuing their public life openly. In such a situation, masses have opted for the other alternative, such as BJP, that is stark and visible throughout the length and breadth of the Union Territory, Chrungoo added.
K.S.Wazir and Jitendra Ganjoo accompanied him to Devibal and Raghunath Mandir Baramulla and showed him the progress of the renovation work at Devibal, the ancient temple-shrine at Baramulla.
