JAMMU, Dec 7: PDP candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency Amrik Singh Reen, while addressing meetings for seeking votes in his favour said that the developmental claims of the local MLA are on large sized hoardings and not on the grounds.
The city has lost its charm due to congested pockets as annexing Government lands by the private businessmen is common in the city owing to which long queues of people can be seen throughout the day with their vehicles moving at snail pace, he said, adding that railway property is being captured by the transitory population of outsiders due to which the threat of crime is looming large in the city but sitting MLA never highlighted these issues in Assembly as well as other forums due to lack of outlook to understand basic issues of the constituency.
“All that Congress did in coalition with Omar Abdullah was promoting frauds, nepotism, corruption and favouritism to adjust more and more personal relatives in various departments to earn money in crores. Some of the Congress Ministers were alleged of helping their wards for cheating in the exams, some for promoting frauds by abusing their official positions and power, some for their involvement in sex scandals degrading the morals of democracy”, said Reen.
Reen said that insanitation in one of the posh localities of Jammu i.e. Gandhi Nagar is a blot on democracy as well as on the working of the incumbent MLA who failed to maintain cleanliness in this important colony of Jammu region. He was addressing the meetings at Model Town, Digiana Ashram, Nanak Nagar Sector 11 and others places.
Deepak Handa while addressing the gathering appealed the voters to join hands together and defeat the corrupt politicians in this elections for making Jammu and Kashmir a corruption free State.
Among others present were Harmeet Singh, Varinder Singh Sonu, Raghubir Singh Manga, Gautam Gupta, etc.
