Development of Inderwal my lifetime mission: Saroori

JAMMU, Aug 29: MLA from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today claimed that development of this constituency has been a lifetime mission for him.
In a statement, Mr Saroori said, “I am the alone MLA in the whole State who is winning the elections with more than 10,000 votes”, adding “in the recently concluded Parliament election, Congress got lead of 30,000 votes from Inderwal and it is only due to developmental works carried out by me and support of people”.
“I am not saying that I am perfect and much more is required to be done for the constituency”, he further said and assured the people of Inderwal that he would leave no stone unturned in providing them due share in development and getting the constituency developed at par with other developed cities and towns of the State”.
He said that during the period between 2008 and 2014 as many as 17 villages/hamlets were covered under water supply scheme. As many as 30 new schemes have been sanctioned under Kishtwar Hydraulic Division and under NRDWP, 14 schemes have been sanctioned. Moreover, under PHE Division Doda as many as five schemes have been sanctioned besides one under Special Sub-Division Gondoh.
After completion of work on these schemes, there would be no shortage of water, he said, adding work on two filtration plants one each at Chatroo and Thathri is under process.
About the road sector, he claimed that in 2002 there was only 8% connectivity of erstwhile district Doda and only 5% connectivity to Inderwal but since 2002 connectivity has increased from 5 to 75% in Inderwal. Chatroo Tehsil has highest percentage of connectivity in erstwhile district Doda and every village is connected with road.
As far as power sector is concerned, the MLA claimed that before 2002 hardly people of Inderwal had seen the electricity but after 2002 almost every village except few have been electrified and more than 20, 000 solar lights have been distributed so far and 10,000 more solar lights sanctioned.
About health sector, he said that work on 100-bedded hospital at Gondoh, 50 bedded hospital at Thathri and 10 bedded hospitals at Nali, Patnazi and Chatroo has been going on at a rapid pace.
“It was during my tenure that Inderwal got the first college Degree College at Chatroo and Thathri, 12 higher secondary schools and 49 high schools”, he said, adding “the number of middle schools, which stood at 26 before my election from the Assembly but at present the same has risen to 280”.
About employment to the locals in Rattle Power Project, he claimed that all the land owners whose land was acquired for the project got the job only due to his interference. “After commencing the work again, almost 5,000 unemployed youth will get job in the project”, he said.
