JAMMU, Mar 31: Congress-National Conference coalition candidate from Jammu-Poonch constituency M L Sharma while addressing public meetings at Sehora, Chak Jaralan, Bassi Palli, Kanal, Bishnah, Deoli, Pandori, Arnia, Jabowal, Nandpur, Rehal and Sarore said that only wave which can strengthen our State is peace and development & our main election agenda is ensuring over all sustainable development of the People.
On the occasion, at Bassi village Vikram Singh Charak, District secretary Panthers party Samba alongwith dozens of his workers joined Congress party under the leadership of Madan Lal Sharma. Mr. Sharma said that he has strongly voiced the issues of refugees and border people in the Parliament and the Congress is the first party which has taken the initial initiatives to resolve the issues of refugees and border people and next UPA Government will resolve all these issues as they are already in pipe line.
Elaborating further Mr. Sharma said the UPA Government has opened the gates of treasure for strengthening and supporting various infrastructural projects and poverty elevation schemes. He called upon the people to support Congress in the election for the interest of Jammu. Mr. Sharma also highlighted the works done by him as MP for the last 10 years.
Counting the achievements Mr. Sharma said that one rank one pension principle for defence forces will benefit lakhs of soldiers who have rendered selfless service for safe guarding our borders and fighting terrorism . He said that Coalition Government in the State headed by Jb. Omar Abdullah has taken some landmark decisions like introducing of Public Service Guarantee Act, RTI Act, Creating Independent Vigilance Commission, Conducting Panchayat Elections, Empowering PRIs in line with Central Government and creating large number of Administrative Units. Manjit Singh Ex-Minister, Ram Paul, Rajesh Bitto, Shashi Sharma, Suman Mahaldar, Ghambir Charak, Sunita , Neelam also appealed the people to support Madan Lal Sharma.
