Development only mantra of Cong party: Charak

BISHNAH, Dec 7: Former Minister and Congress candidate from Bishnah constituency, Gulchain Singh Charak today said that development is the only mantra of Congress party and only this party can ensure equitable development in all the three regions.
Mr Charak, who carried out hectic campaign today, addressed several public meetings at village Shibu Chak, Kotli Charkan, Sarore, Rehal and Bumnal in Bishnah constituency to make people aware about the significance of their mandate and apprised them about the policies and programmes of the Congress party prepared for the welfare and development of Bishnah constituency.
A large number of people from different walks of life besides Sarpanchs/Panchs and Congress leaders participated in these meetings and appreciated the efforts of Charak in developing the constituency.
While seeking votes in favour of his party, Mr Charak highlighted local issues of the villagers particularly unemployment, irrigation facilities, un-interrupted power supply, better health care facilities and creating infrastructure for educational institutions which require immediate attention. He said that the Bishnah constituency lagged behind in development because of non serious attitude of past representatives. At the same time he assured people that their concerns will be addressed on priority, if he is elected in the upcoming elections. Charak appealed for whole-hearted support from the people for him and his party so that he is able to accomplish their aspirations.
Earlier, during the day, Mr Charak conducted door-to-door meetings in the Bishnah town along with prominent citizens, Congress leaders and party workers to seek support of the people in the ensuing elections. Despite morning cold, a large number of people joined the campaigning group which turned into a procession.
