JAMMU, Nov 05: Showing keen interest in the Developmental Photo Exhibition, Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir stressed for holding such exhibitions of different sectors regularly to aware the masses about development and achievements of the Government.
The Minister said this while witnessing the photo exhibition of developmental activities of Agriculture Department at Kala-Kendra. The exhibition was organized by Joint Directorate of Information here this evening.
The Minister was accompanied by Director Information, Zaffar Ahmed Bhat, Director Agriculture Jammu, Ajay Khajuria, Joint Director Information Jammu, Soujanya Sharma and other senior officers of Agriculture and Information Departments.
The Minister said that such exhibitions are necessary to highlight the work of the Government so that people can see the achievements of the government. In this exhibition, the department has exhibited the photos of farm mechanization and other activities of the Agriculture Department besides photos of various developmental activities in various sectors in the State.
Mr. Mir said that the Agriculture Department has made thrust to introduce mechanization in the farm sector to bring glamour in agriculture so that future generation should be motivated to opt it as a profiting activity. He said with the introduction of latest agri-techniques in the sector the quality production of the agriculture produce has been enhanced manifold.
