Devender Rana is richest among all candidates in Jammu division

JAMMU, Sept 12: Devender Singh Rana, BJP candidate from Nagrota Assembly constituency, is richest among all the contestants in Jammu division from various political parties for the scheduled Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.

A former MLA and businessman turned politician, Rana has more than Rs 46.83 crore movable and immovable assets while his spouse has assets worth Rs 76.73 crores.
As per the affidavit, filed by Devender Singh Rana along with nomination papers before the Returning Officer, he has Rs 9,13,18,837 movable assets, which include bank deposits, investments, shares of JAMKASH Vehicleades, Pathankot Vehicleades, Take One Television JAMKASH Biking Pvt Ltd, JAMKASH Foods and Hospitalities, J&K Bank Ltd and gold.
His immovable assets include agricultural land worth Rs 1.8 crores at Malore, Doda; non-agriculatural land at Sunjawan (Rs 18 crore), Channi Himmat (Rs 3 crore+Rs 10 crore), Sidhra (Rs 2 crore), Hyderpora, Srinagar (Rs 1 crore) , commercial building at B C Road Jammu (Rs 60 lakh), residential buildings at Greater Noida, Pathankot, etc.
As spouse of Rana has 15.74 crore movable and Rs 60.99 crore immovable assets, net worth of their combined assets is more than Rs 123 crores. Devender Rana has done B Sc Engineering (Civil) from NIT Kurukshetra.
