JAMMU, Aug 26: The two -day long function held in connection with celebration of birth anniversary of Swami Kashi Bab concluded at Sharda Mandir Bantalab today.
The function was organized by Swami Kashi Bab Ji Maharaj Trust Hugam and a large number of devotees of Swami Ji, besides Biradri members of Hugam participated in the religious function in which Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram Muthi was the chief guest.
Swami Kumar Ji while giving a lecture on the spiritual life of Swami Kashi Bab said that he was a great Sanyasi who had attained total self control and had detached himself from worldliness. For him, entire universe was one and he treated every one alike as there was no mine and thine for him.
He said Swami Ji was a calm and cool personality and Karamyogi in real sense. He was also a great propagator of dharma.
The Trust Chairman B L Dhar in his welcome address paid rich tributes to Swami Kashi Bab Ji. He said the Trust has been founded by Shawala Dharam Sabha Hugam and since its formation it is wedded in social service.
The devotees were served with prashad after the conclusion of the function.
On the occasion three students who got over 90 percent marks in the examinations were honoured while social activist award for 2016 was conferred to Sanjay Dhar and volume fourth of directory of Shivala Mandir Dharam Sabha (SMDS) Hugam was also released on the occasion. Besides Appreciation award was given to Ravi Tickoo MD (AIH) P Ltd.
The function was attended by Ashok Koul general secretary (Org) BJP, Prof A N Sadhu a well known scholar, president ASKPC, advocate Ravinder Raina, BJP Mahila Morcha National Executive Member Sheela Handoo, Kuldeep Raina president Samajik Vikas Sansthan, B L Bhat CEO, KOA, M K Yogi president NC Minority Cell, Mohan Lal Comrade and Kuldeep Pandita of Thinkers Forum.
The vote of thanks was delivered by C L Dhar president of the Trust. Bhajan and Kirtan was also held during the two days long function. Besides, a hawan was also performed at Kashmir Bhawan Lahgoan Pune, Maharashtra.
