JAMMU, Aug 11: On the occasion of Shrawan Ashtami pooja -archana was performed at Maha Ragniya Ashthapan Raithan Badgam by the devotees of the Mata this morning.
However the annual Maha Yagya could not be performed as usual at the holy shrine due to present unrest in the Valley. The Pandit Biradri of the area which was performing a Maha Yagya at the holy shrine every year decided to postpone the same owing to Valley situation.
But to keep the tradition alive the Pandits of the area performed pooja -archana in the shrine and paid obeisance to Goddess there.
