KATRA, Oct 19: All India Devotional Song Competition as a part of Navratra Festival 2023 at Katra, entered into 3rd day today.
Joint Director Tourism Sunaiyana Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. Addl SP Katra Vipin Chandra, Dy SP Katra S S Billowria, celebrity Singer Balraj, former winner of All India Devotional Song Competition Anshu Sharma, Swami Yoganand Maharaj, Chairman All India Devotional Song Committee & President Hotel Association Katra Rakesh Wazir and others were also present on the occasion.
On the third evening, Stenzin from Ladakh took 1st position whereas 2nd position was shared by Aarav Wazir from Katra and Rajeev Yogi from Jammu. 3rd position was bagged by Vanshika Dogra from Udhampur and Aayati Sharma from Jammu. There were total nine auditioned participants and the winners were provided with the cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 5,000 (jointly) and Rs 3,000 (jointly).
The Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Dr Surinder Sharma, Dr CL Verma and Usha Bhagati.
Celebrity singer Balraj enthralled the audience with his powerful voice and people were seen dancing on his tunes and likewise former winner of All India Devotional Song Competition Anshu Sharma too graced the occasion with his stunning performances.
The proceeding of Competition was conducted by Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition.
