JAMMU, June 20: Sangram Sena (J&K) has demanded that immediate attention be given to the Dewan Mandir for maintenance and up keep.
In a meeting of the Sena held here today, its president Ram Rattan Raina, said that it was Sangram Sena who approached the then Governor, Jagmohan for taking over the control of Dewan Mandir, for its development and maintenance.
He also apprised that Dewan Mandir is about 180 years old and needs to be maintained and preserved. Mr Raina expressed his anguish over the present helm of affairs under the Dewan Temple. He alleged that filth and cow dung is seen everywhere within temple complex. It has created resentment among the devotees visiting temple.
Sangram Sena leader urged upon the concern authorities to look into matter and preserve the sanctity of the temple and improve civic conditions there.
