JAMMU, Aug 7: To lodge their protest against the violence in Bangladesh, the workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena staged a protest here today.
The protest was held under the leadership of president Ashok Gupta.
The activists of DF and SS took out a massive rally and burnt the effigy of Jamat-e-Islami, which has been targeting Hindus and temples. They also raised slogans “Hinduon ko wapis lao”
Hours after Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country on Monday following mass protests law and order has completely broken.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that atrocities being perpetrated against Hindus is not just an internal matter of Bangladesh. Bharat cannot be Maha-Bharat, if we do not stand up and act at the earliest to ensure the safety of minorities in our neighborhood.”
“What was part of this Nation unfortunately became neighborhood, but it is our responsibility to protect these people -who actually belong to this Civilization- from these shocking atrocities,” he said.
“These are well-planned attacks by fundamentalist forces as shameful and dangerous and called India to do all it can to protect them. I fear that India will need to remain vigilant so that the honour and dignity of the mothers, sisters and daughters of our Hindu brothers are not at stake. The entire country will have to stand with its minority Hindu brothers with full strength,” he added.
Gupta further demanded that the Hindus should be brought to India till the time situation normalises in the neighborhood.
Among others who participated in the protest included Ashish, Abhishek, Prem, Kalu, Naresh, Rampal, Vijay, Vikas, Surinder, Bantu, Billa and Suman.
