JAMMU, Dec 24: The workers of Dogra Front (DF) & Shiv Sena (SS) under the leadership of president, Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in Old Jammu City praising Modi Government for taking tough and historic decisions for the betterment of the nation.
Gupta while addressing the rally stated that regardless of the election results the Modi led Government did not shy away from taking tough political decisions even though it led to cutting of BJP’s vote bank.
He further stated that since the initiation of NDA II the Government never cared about vote-bank politics, but have always believed in working for the welfare of the people.
“The Previous Governments had deliberately kept the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute hanging for decades. Matters of national interest were secondary for them, he added.
They had also kept the issue of Jharkhand’s creation pending for five decades. It was the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led Government that created Jharkhand,” he asserted.
He made a dig on those political parties who were trying to create a divide of Hindu & Muslim on the name of the Bill which is nothing more than a cleansing activity of the intruders. The Hindus & Muslims of this great nation are very strong and smart which would make sure that these fringe political elements would not succeed in there efforts.
He said a hallmark of this period has been the Modi Government’s politically sensitive and crucial decision, making it by far one of the most decisive periods in the history of Governance in India. “Be it amendments to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act or changes in the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, we have seen a Government trying to solve problems at an unprecedented pace”, he added.
This was also manifested in the decision to abrogate Article 370 and reconstitution the State of Jammu and Kashmir into two separate Union Territories, he said.
He said “be it the issue of Triple Talaq, Article 370 or the new Motor Vehicle Act, the Government has taken bold steps aimed at building a ‘New India’, where every citizen is empowered with the same set of right and has access to a decent quality of life, while the society complies with the local rules and regulations”.
