JAMMU, Sept 19: To lodge their protest against the statement made by Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif regarding the political landscape in J&K, asserting that both Pakistan and the National Conference-Congress alliance share a common goal, a protest rally was taken out by the Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DF, SS), here today.
The protestors led by Ashok Gupta, president, DF-SS raised slogans against Pakistan Defense Minister and demanded an answer from NC-Congress alliance regarding the statement.
The remarks of the Pakistani Minister came in the midst of Assembly elections in J&K, the first since the erstwhile State’s special status was scrapped in 2019. Notably, Asif’s comments were made in response to the Congress and National Conference alliance in the Jammu and Kashmir polls.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Gupta said that NC- Congress should come clear in this. The statement is something which worries’s every Indian as Pakistan is an enemy Country and any thought which aligns with Pakistan is anti Indian.
“These political parties should give a reply so that things are clear in the mind of the common man,” he said.
Among others who were present during the protest included Abhishek, Sushil, Akshay, Ram, Ashok, Prabhat, Prem, Bantu and Naresh.
