DFP organizes awareness camp on Special Outreach Programmes

SAMBA, June 26: As part of intensive public awareness campaign launched by the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India under the name “Saal Aek Sharuat Anek” throughout the length and breadth of the country on the completion of one year of NDA Government, the DFP of J&K Region launched the same campaign in some districts of Jammu division.
The awareness campaign was aimed at providing mass awareness at the grass root level among the masses about various public welfare schemes which were being launched by the NDA Government during its one year tenure.
Under this awareness campaign, detailed information and awareness on Special Outreach programmes Viz: Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana was provided to the masses in general and rural masses in particular.
In this connection, Field Publicity Unit, Kathua organised a day-long special interactive programme at Government Middle School, Dag Bramhala in Vijaypur block of Samba district.  This day long programme was organized in close coordination with ICDS, Rural Development, Education, State Bank of India and Directorate of Rural Sanitation and various State/Central Government departments under the chairmanship of Om Prakash, Sarpanch Chowanni Abtal Panchayat.
The main aim and objective of this interactive programme was to aware and provide threadbare information especially to the rural masses about various aspects and provisions of recently launched National Programmes.
On this occasion a number of expert lectures from various state and central departments were made available for the awareness of masses Saniya Raina, Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Ramgarh Branch was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Sabhia Bhat, Assistant Child Development Project Officer, ICDS Project, Vijaypur acted as Guest of Honour. N. Gulshan Raina, (IIS), Programme Head, DFP, J & K under whose supervision and guidance such awareness campaigns have been launched in the State also interacted with the audience and delivered key note address on these subject.
A Question-Answer session was also held on this occasion Later, a grand rally comprising Anganwadi Workers, Helpers, School Students, PRI members and local populace was also organized.
