DFP organizes women meet on Bharat Nirman

SAMBA, Sept 25: The Kathua Field unit of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India in close cooperation and coordination with ICDS Project Vijaypur organized a day long women meet on Bharat Nirman Phase -II and its allied components at ICDS centre Kanhal Upper, today.
Over half a dozen Anganwari workers and local ladies drawn from different Anganwari centers and local area participated in the seminar and expressed their views on the subject.
N Gulshan Raina, D&DO, DFP, J & K Region while unveiling the concept of Bharat Nirman Phase – II campaign stressed upon the audience to avail maximum benefits of all flagship programmes undertaken by the Govt of India from time to time for their betterment, upliftment and development.
While interacting with the audience he spelled out the aims and objectives of such awareness programmes for the common masses directly at the grass root level. He laid emphasis on the audience to act as ambassadors into spreading the message of provisions and importance of Bharat Nirman Phase – II and its components in their respective areas and strongly advocated to shoulder their responsibilities for the proper and effective implementation this national programmes.
While presenting vote of thanks, Meenakshi Samkaria, ICDS Supervisor appreciated the efforts of DFP in awearing the rural masses about various Centrally sponsored schemes and programmes.
Naresh Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch, Kanhal who also graced the occasion, requested the department for more such awareness programmes on other themes and topics in the near future.
Later the participants of the seminar were honoured with utility gifts by the galaxy of officers and other dignitaries who graced the occasion.
