JAMMU, Sept 4: Workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta here today organised a protest rally demanding reservation for Dogras in Higher Educational Institutes and Government jobs.
Addressing the protesters Gupta termed 50 per cent reservation for Dogras in Government jobs and educational institutions as the genuine right of Dogras because they are the domiciles of J&K.
The protesters raised slogans in favour of their demand.
They said that unemployment has increased among Dogras so they need reservations in employment. Ashok Gupta quoted various reports to say that young Dogras have not been able to access to the kind of education that would equip them adequately to enter job sector of present era.
“All the political parties contesting elections should come clear on the issue of unemployment among Dogras,” he maintained.
Hiranagar Pradhan, Bittu, Ashish, Prem, Kalu, Sanjeev and many others were also present in the rally.
