JAMMU, Jan 3: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) today took out a procession in Jammu City against the unconstitutional action by the legislators in J&K Assembly and demanded stern action against them.
By carrying banners in their hands, a large number of workers of DFSS under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta, took out a procession and raised slogans against the J&K legislators for disrespecting the National Anthem in the floor of the House.
Addressing the protesting workers, Gupta said that a citizen of India whether a politician or a common man is bounded by the Constitution of the country. “In a recent state of events some people were arrested for not standing at the time of National Anthem, then why no action has been taken against the opposition legislatures when the national anthem was disrespected by them in the J&K Assembly”, he added.
The DFSS president said that as per the latest ruling of the Supreme Court it is mandatory to play National Anthem in a theatre before the start of the film and it is mandatory for the viewers to stand still in honour of the anthem, but on the contrary the temple of democracy, the Secretariat, which is supposed to safeguard and implement the Constitution in the State, the J&K MLAs disrespected the National Anthem by raising slogans at the time of the anthem, which just shows the insensitivity as well as the horrendous nature of these people towards the core principles of the country.
Gupta stated that the Speaker of J&K Assembly must take an strong action against erring legislators as it would be ground breaking decision by depleting the past on non-action against the obnoxious MLA’S who have been ambushing the laws of the country.
