DF&SS holds protest, demands separate State

JAMMU, July 31: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DF&SS) today held a protest demonstration and demanded separate Jammu State.
The workers of DF&SS led by its president Ashok Gupta raised slogans and demanded declaration of Jammu a separate state.
While speaking, Gupta alleged that 70 per cent amount of the total plan is diverted towards the people of Valley and Jammu and Ladakh got only 20 and 10 per cent respectively. Like in the case of modern villages Kashmir got 11 modern villages and Jammu got 2 modern villages, each village has got 33 lakhs so there is a monetary disparity of 6 crores, he added.
Most of the anti accession and anti Indian voices were raised from the Valley, he added.
He said that Muslim majority areas living in Doda, Rajouri, etc of Jammu region remained educationally, economically and infrastructually backward due to negligence from Valley centric leadership.
By making Jammu a separate State, the grievance of the people will be redressed.
