JAMMU, Aug 1: Workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) here today under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta organised a protest rally against caste based census.
The protesters carried banners with slogans in support of their demand written on them.
“The caste census may benefit some people politically but it is not good for national unity,” Ashok Gupta said while addressing the protesters.
“In 1990 Rajeev Gandhi publicly said that we want a united India and not a caste based India,” Gupta maintained adding: “When an MP asked Leader of Opposition’s caste the latter got so furious and rest of the INDI Alliance started raising slogans. When a massive reaction was made upon asking the caste of an individual, how the caste of the entire nation can be asked.”
Rahul Kundal, Raju, Ganesh, Prem, Bantu, Vikky, Prem, Naresh, Kalu and others were also present in the protest.
