JAMMU, July 22: Workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) here today under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally against the erratic water supply and power cuts in these scorching summer days.
The protesters were carrying empty buckets.
“The holy month of Sawan has begun but the long power cuts are creating miseries for the devotees,” Ashok Gupta said.
He further said that poor power supply is adversely affecting the water supply and requested the Lieutenant Governor for his personal intervention into the matter.
The Shiv Sena leader said that Government should start investing in the solar power projects as Jammu receives ample sunlight.
“When the people of Jammu are paying bills as per smart meters then there should be 24 hr power-supply,” he maintained.
Those present in the rally were Abhishek, Geeta, Bittu, Ganesh, Bantu, Prem, Kalu, Rampal, Naresh, Ram and others.
