JAMMU, July 5: Workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in the city against non-availability of water and electricity in these hot summer days when the Amarnath Yatra is also underway.
The protesters carried empty buckets to express scarcity of water in the city.
It is pertinent to mention here that general public is suffering badly with the ongoing strike of PHE workers since June 22 in Jammu region.
Addressing protesters Gupta said that over 70 per cent of the systems in PHE department is being run by daily wagers while 30 per cent permanent staff has failed to deliver in such a vast area.
He asked the public to use the water judiciously.
Sushma, Nanki, Ashish, Prem, Bantu, Vinay, Abhishek, Sahil and others were also present in the protest.
