JAMMU, July 5: Workers of the Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of its president, Ashok Gupta, today took out a procession in this winter capital of the State against the PHE and PDD for the non-availability of the water and electricity to the people of Jammu.
By holding empty utensils, water buckets, electric fans, hand fans and clay pots in their hands and raising slogans signifying the lack of responsibility on the Government Departments which has sent people back in cave man era.
They alleged that for last some days there has been no electricity and water in city areas and people are suffering severely in these hot days of summer.
Addressing the protestors, Ashok Gupta alleged that after the darbar move the Jammu people have to face the same problem every year. He also alleged that the PHE tankers which are meant to supply drinking water in water deficit areas have been selling the same to private agencies for commercial purposes.
He urged the Chief Minister and the concerned Ministers to ensure regular and timely supply of water and electricity to the people.
