JAMMU, Nov 24: Workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) here today under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally along with many shopkeepers against the drawing of yellow lines by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) outside shops.
Addressing the protesters, Gupta said that shops and houses demolished by JMC is an offensive act.
He said if there was an encroachment or violation by the people, the matter should be brought to the General House for discussion after which the people should be given time to correct their mistake.
“It is the responsibility of JMC Councillors that if any JMC employee tries to take action without the consent of the General House than the concerned Councillor should take action against the employee,” he said.
The Shiv Sena leader claimed that the bill of drawing yellow lines in front of shops has just been passed by the executive body of JMC but unless it is passed by the General House of JMC it can’t become a law.
Kewal, Sham, Vijay, Birbal, Bantu, Prem, Vicky, Sham, Kailasho and others were also present in the protest rally.
