JAMMU, Oct 13: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of their president Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in Jammu city against the back door appointments.
A large number of DFSS workers participated in the protest rally and raised slogans against the previous dispensations for making backdoor appointments of undeserving candidates and cheating the deserving candidates.
Addressing the protesting workers, Ashok Gupta said that back door appointments were made without any fear and there is no doubt in it as Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta had himself claimed few days back that 2.5 lakh ‘undeserving’ candidates were provided jobs in the Union Territory through backdoor in the past.
Gupta alleged that during the NC regime in which Akbar lone was the Speaker, he appointed various people in the Secretariat through the back door. He further alleged that Congress leader during his term as Speaker in 2008, appointed 4 people in the Secretariat through the back door. He also raised questions on the appointment of former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s cousin Syed Aroot Madani as the executive officer in the Khadi Village Industries Board (KVIB).
The DFSS president demanded that names of all those people who secured jobs through back door appointments be made public and they be removed from service. He said the posts they are holding should be filled on the basis of merit by inviting fresh job applications.
Abhishek, Narendra, Jai Pal, Ashish, Ashu, Raj Kumari, Pandey, Geeta, Amit, Vishal, Akshay and various others party workers participated in the protest.
